How to Use This Tool
Learn More About XML Sitemap Generator
What is a sitemap.xml file?
A sitemap.xml file lists URLs you want crawlers to discover. The protocol is documented at sitemaps.org: a <urlset> contains <url> entries, each with a required <loc>.
What this tool does not invent
lastmod, changefreq, and priority are optional. Guessing them (for example, setting every page to “weekly” and today’s date) is not useful to crawlers. Add those fields only when you have real last-modified times.
Limits
One sitemap file may contain up to 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed. Larger sites need a sitemap index that points at multiple sitemap files.
About
This generator turns a list of absolute http(s) URLs into a sitemap.xml in the sitemaps.org 0.9 urlset format. Each non-empty line becomes one <url><loc>…</loc></url> entry. It does not invent lastmod, changefreq, or priority — those are optional and only useful when you have real dates and crawl hints.
Paste URLs you already know (homepage, about, blog posts). Host the result at /sitemap.xml (or another HTTPS path) and add that URL in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Pair this with Robots.txt Generator (Sitemap: line) and Sitemap Checker to verify the live file.
